APTET Syllabus 2017/APTET Paper 1 Syllabus/AP TET Paper 2 Syllabus of Maths, Physics, Biology, Social Studies, English, Science released by the school education department. APTET 2017 exam Syllabus, structure and content  is ass follows. APTET 2017 exam is being held online this year.

There will be Two Papers for the TET Paper 1 will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes 1 to 5, Paper 2 will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes 6 to 8. A person who intends to be a Teacher either for Classes 1 to 5 or for Classes 6 to 8 shall have to appear in both Papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2).

APTET Syllabus Paper 1: No. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) – 150, Duration of Examination: 2 hours and 30 minutes

Structure and Content

i) Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs 30 Marks
ii) Language 1 30 MCQs 30 Marks
iii) Language 2 (English) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
iv) Mathematics 30 MCQs 30 Marks
v) Environmental Studies 30 MCQs 30 Marks

Total 150 MCQs 150 Marks

The test items on Child Development & Pedagogy will focus on Educational Psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the primary level. Candidates have to choose one of the available 8 Languages under Language 1 of TET, those candidates should have compulsorily studied that Language either as medium of study or as First Language at least up to Class X. The candidates who studied CBSE/ ICSE curriculum can choose the Language which they studied up to Class X. Language 2 shall be English for all the candidates.

Maths/EVS Syllabus 2017

APTET Syllabus for Mathematics & Environmental Studies are designed on the basis of topics of Classes I to V. The difficulty standard as well as linkages of content/topics could be up to Secondary Stage (up to Class X) for testing. The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) not only on Content but also on Pedagogy. In Mathematics, 24 MCQs will be on Content and 6 MCQs on Pedagogy. Similarly, in Environmental Studies 24 MCQs will be on Content and 6 MCQs on Pedagogy.

Paper 2 Structure

APTET Paper 2 structure  is as follows.

Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs 30 Marks
Language I 30 MCQs 30 Marks
Language II (English) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
For Mathematics & Science Teachers:
Mathematics and Science 60 MCQs 60 Marks
For Social Studies Teacher 60 MCQs 60 Marks

TOTAL 150 MCQs 150 Marks

For Paper 2 Mathematics & Science, questions will be as follows:-
(i) Mathematics 30 MCQs (Content 24, Pedagogy 6)
(ii) Science 30 MCQs (Content 24, Pedagogy 6)
(a) Content – Physical Science -12 MCQs
(b) Content – Biological Science – 12 MCQs
(c) Science Pedagogy – 6 MCQs

Paper 2 syllabus

For APTET Paper 2 Social Studies, the syllabus will cover the sectors namely, History, Geography, Civics and Economics. Out of 60 marks, 48 will be on Content and the remaining 12 on Pedagogy. For Paper 2, APTET Syllabus of Mathematics, Sciences & Social Studies are based on topics of Classes 6 to 8. The difficulty standard of questions as well as their linkages could be up to Senior Secondary Level. APTET 2017 paper 2 syllabus for Language 1 & 2 shall be based on proficiency in the Language, Elements of Language, Communication and Comprehension abilities (standard up to Senior Secondary Level).

AP TET Notification 2018/Eligibility Criteria will be published at http://aptet.cgg.gov.in. AP State Govt will be issuing APDSC 2017 Notification on the 6th July 2018. About 10,351 teacher posts will be recruited through this notification. It is a mandatory that each person who want to become a teacher should pass/qualify the teacher eligibility test conducted by the respective state government or they have to qualify the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test).

As Andhra Pradesh state government will be publishing DSC Notification in this December, it is mandatory for the state government to release APTET 2017 Notification also along with the AP DSC 2017 Notification. There are hundreds of candidates who have already been qualified for the APTET in previous TETs, but still there are few people who have not yet applied for this TET examination and who have not cleared the TET examination. Candidates who are looking forward for this teachers recruitment (AP DSC 2017) are also looking forward for the APTET Notification 2017. Candidates who have not yet appeared for Andhra Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test, can apply this time and qualify for the DSC recruitment.

There are two papers in APTET. Paper 1 is designed for the people who want to become primary school teachers for class 1 to class 5 in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Paper 2 is for Upper Primary School Teachers who teach Class 6, Class 7 and Class 8 in Government, Municipal, Aided, Private Un Aided schools in AP. The structure and content of each part of Paper I and Paper II of the APTET 2017 examination, and the breakup of the total 150 marks among various parts of the paper will be given in the Information Bulletin. Candidates need to download the AP TET 2017 information bulletin from the official website http://aptet.cgg.gov.in before applying online from APTET 2017 official website.

Eligibility

APTET Eligibility: All candidates who possess D.Ed.,/ B.Ed., / Language Pandit or equivalent qualifications with requisite percentage of marks obtained and who aspire to become teachers for classes I to VIII in the schools of the State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, Private Aided Schools and Private unaided schools in Andhra Pradesh State can appear for APTET 2017. APTET Certificate / Marks Memo shall be valid for a period of 7 years from the date of TET examination in accordance with NCTE Guidelines. For more information, refer APTET 2017 Notification.

Pass Percentage and Weightage

20% weightage will be given to APTET scores in the ensuing Teacher Recruitment of the State Government i.e., 20% weightage is for APTET score and 80% weightage for written test in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT/AP DSC 2017) for drawing up selection list.
